New Features on Google Analytics
New Features on Google Analytics
Google Web Analytics has recently added some new features to everyone’s accounts. Here are the seven features added with our explanation on them:
1) Analytics Intelligence with Custom Alerts
This feature enables you to monitor your data daily with custom alerts if certain things change. Whether it be the good or the ugly, Analytics Intelligence and customer alerts lets you stay on top of what’s happening 24/7.
2) Expand Goals and New Engagement Goals
Before Google’s new features, Google only allowed you to track four goals. With this update, you can now track 20 goals per profile. You can also measure user engagement and branding success on your site with Time on Site and Pages per Visit Goals.
3) Expanded Mobile Reporting
Google Analytics has expanded support for mobile websites and tracking for iPhone and Android mobile applications tracking. Adding server side code to your PHP, JSP, PERL, or ASPX mobile websites enables you to track non-Java-Script enabled phones. For mobile application developers, access the SDK and technical implementation details here. You'll also be able to see breakout data on mobile devices and carriers in the new Mobile reports in the Visitors section.
4) Unique Visitors Metric
In your Customer Report or Advanced Segments, one can see how many actual visitors visit your website. You can select Unique Visitors as a metric against any dimensions in Google Analytics.
5) Advanced Analysis Features
Drill deeper into your data with Pivoting, Secondary dimensions and Advanced Table Filtering.
6) Share Advanced Segments and Custom Report Templates
Now you can share your URL link and data automatically. Note: The other party has to have a Google Analytics account also.
7) Multiple Custom Variables
This feature enables you to customize your data to whatever you and your business find important. You can define and track visitors according to visitor attributes, session attributes and by page level attributes.
