Google Launches Mortgage Comparison Tool

Recently, Google has made it official that they would be doing "comparison ads" where mortgage advertisers’ products can be compared against each other.
Currently this option is not available in every state or in Canada, but people may still see it if they enter in keywords like ‘mortgage’ or ‘refinance’. Over the next few weeks, Google will start to roll out this option for the rest of the US, Canada and other countries.
This is good news for shoppers who would like to have their mortgage options compared on one page with the appropriate contact information.
With Vancouver and some parts of Canada being a hotbed for real estate, it is even more important now for companies to start taking advantage of all products and services that search engines and search engine optimization companies like Findmaster Marketing can provide.
Google is focusing on speed, transparency and privacy with the launch of comparison ads.
- Speed: Ads would be shown in less then one second.
- Transparency: It will only show real products. There won’t be any baits, teasers or switch offers of any kind.
- Privacy: The user has to explicitly request more information about the
advertiser's offer in order for contact information to be exchanged.
Google would offer a ‘bridging number’ where the consumer and mortgage representative can connect and chat. It is up to the consumer to provide their number to the mortgage company to finish the transaction. Even the phone number that is provided by Google would not be shared between the two parties.Google would use a searchers IP address to understand where geographically they are coming from so that they can provide local mortgage rates and information.
Google plans to launch comparison ads across other categories, but in the meantime they would be concentrating on mortgages to collect feedback from both users and advertisers.
