Should I optimize for Google only
Should I optimize for Google only?

search engine optimization
Just last month, we saw Google grab another piece from the search engine pie. It increased to 71.57% gaining over 1% from last month while Yahoo dropped by 5% to 15.39% and Bing dropped by 2% to 9.34%. Ask.com was able to increase their share by 1% from 2.62% to 2.65%.
"So, should I only optimize for Google?" The answer is NO! Based on a recent Hitwise report, Google is currently holding 72% of all search shares in the United States. Google should be your #1 priority, but it is equally important to work on Yahoo and MSN search engines as well. Remember that there is still the remaining 30% of searches you will be losing unless you go across all three major search engines. Your cost per lead or cost per acquisition can also be cheaper on MSN and Yahoo then on Google due to volume and competition. Depending on your target market, sales might be better on Yahoo then on Google even though volume on Google is bigger than on Yahoo!
We at Findmaster Marketing will optimize your website and implement tags that are approved for all search engines. Remember some tags are not read the same by each search engine! Web analytics would also be implemented so we would know what people are doing on your website as well as where traffic is coming from each search engine. We don't play favourites when it comes to who performs better, we'll let the data do the talking!
